Next bit of concept art. Meet Security Officer Blinn O'Reily of the Caruso City security corps. The most comically inept guard since Paul Blart.

Another bit of concept art for Tales from the Logbook. This time we meet Antilles' apprentice, Lyon Wenham. A sharp tongued idealistic young Jedi from the planet Gamallia.

When I first came up with Lyon, I originally wanted Antilles' apprentice to be an alien. Star Wars has a vast array of aliens and creatures to choose from, but I couldn't find one I really liked. Then the idea to invent my own race of aliens came to mind and I invented the Gamallians. They may look elf-like in appearance, but they are more lizard like, specifically chameleon. They can adapt to their environment to survive. Also, when they are angry, their normally unseen pupil becomes a dark slit across their aquatic green eyes.

I gave him cavalier boots and thigh armor and gauntlets because I've always thought of the character as more of a mounted knight. Who knows, there might even be a bit in the story where Lyon is fighting a Sith lord or someone while mounted on some kind of creature or speeder.

concept art for one of the Jedi characters 'Antilles', who will be appearing in a series of short stories I'm writing called 'Tales from the Logbook'. I'll be trying to post more concept art of other characters weekly.

Here's the current(subject to change at a later date) background image. I've always been a Star Wars fan, and these two characters (Lyon Wenham((LEFT)), and Tobias Flynn((RIGHT)))were ones I came up with in high school that have evolved beyond the bland emo character and goof ball character they originally were. This is actually part of a bigger piece, but it's taking longer than expected to finish.

My name is David Stevens and I am studying to either be a comic book illustrator or an animator. Drawing has always been a big part of my life ever since I could pick up a pencil (or at the time, crayola crayons). I'll mainly be posting my handiwork here, so I hope you all enjoy.
